Palo-Server script description:

Publisher review:
Palo-Server is a cell-oriented, multi-dimensional data server, specifically developed for spreadsheet data storage and analysis. Palo-Server is a cell-oriented, multi-dimensional data server, specifically developed for spreadsheet data storage and analysis.

Palo-Server provides a central database for Enterprise Spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and offers interfaces to many third-party databases provided by SAP, IBM, Microsoft and Oracle.

Palo is made for Microsoft Excel. It is a cell-based database that is multidimensional, hierarchical and memory-based.

If you do a query in a relational database, the smallest result you will get is one record (usually consisting of several fields). If you do a query in Palo, your result is a single cell value. So Palo thinks in cells, not in records. This is what makes it so compatible with Microsoft Excel, because Excel is also cell-based.

Palo is memory-based. This basically means speed. Data retrieval of base cells and also of aggregated cells is done real time. No time consuming queries to run, results should be displayed with milliseconds (or seconds at the longest).

Palo is not limited to Microsoft Excel. You can connect to Palo from any application by using a variety of software APIs (C, Java, PHP, .NET).
Palo-Server is a C/C++ script for Snippets scripts design by Vladislav Malicevic. It runs on following operating system: Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris.
